The 3rd app in the Grembe Apps collection, iReward shares many of the subtly great characteristics of iCommunicate and My Pictures Talk. This app is a Social Story companion app to the AAC/Visual Schedule app iCommunicate. Like iCommunicate, My Pictures talk is a simple but extremely versatile and powerful app. The best use we’ve found with this app is Social Stories, a social story is where you tell a simple story about something that your child struggles with so they can see the process and decrease anxiety and unexpectedness. I’ve heard a lot about iCommunicate in my involvement with the Autism community and I’m excited to have the chance to see for myself what this app can do. Many people with Autism (and other special needs, I specify autism simply because that’s the community I’m personally familiar with) are non-verbal or have difficulty with communication and use these sorts of apps to communicate (hence the name).
