We currently have 1 iPad/iPod reviewer and will soon be inviting an Android App reviewer to our team. On this page our reviewers will tell you their background and how they approach the apps they are reviewing.

Emma Apple - iDevices (iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch)

I approach my reviews from many different angles. As the mother of 2 children on the Autism Spectrum I look for therapy potential in apps (fine motor, language building, social, feelings etc.). As a former homeschooling family and a family that does a lot of spontaneous learning, the educational value of an app is important to me. As a woman, I look for apps that empower girls and promote healthy attitudes and gender neutral ideas. As part of a multi-cultural family, I look for apps that promote diversity on all levels (ethnicity, looks, ability, culture etc.). As a Muslim I am looking at various different aspects of apps that my own or other Muslim families will be looking for or wanting to avoid. As a parent, I am looking for family and child friendly apps. All of these things and how my children respond to and interact with an app shape my review process and my opinion of an app.
